It was a proud day for us today. Everyone wore the drama shirt during the SYF rehearsal in the hall today. Kindda united as one big family! Everybody's gonna feel the pressure now. Cause we left only 3 FREAKING DAYS TO SYF! THREE! SAN! SANG! TIGA!
Rules for backstage crews:
1. The 5 mins set up time will start when the staircase door is being opened.
2. It is expected that we spend less than 2 mins to set up the props.
3. Curtains will be closed during the set up.
4. Noise heard or any props that dropped, points will be deducted!
5. No backstage crews are to be seen on stage during the 20 mins SYF or it will be a straight C.O.P!
6. To be leaning on the wall throughout the whole of the SYF play to ensure none to be seen.
7. Dress code: Drama shirt and black pants.
8. When the curtains are closed after the end of the SYF, props are to be removed within 5 mins.
9. Handphones and watches are to be surrendered to the teachers on the way to CJC in the bus.
10. Any noise heard, points will be deducted. E.g Handphone rings: 5 points deducted.
Actors:
1. In any case that you lost your lines, IMPROVISE.
2. Do not speak during blackout or straight C.O.P would be given.
3. Good diction and projection will be awarded.
4. Give eye contact when there is any monologue. first scene and last scene.
5. During blackout, no noise should be heard.
6. Wait for your spot light so that you can speak.
Crews from control room:
1. Stage Manager (SM) will carry out orders in the control room.
2. To be alert!
3. Sound will cut off by fading it.
4. Lighting, stay calm! i know you're nervous.
By the way, you have one last rehearsal before going for SYF compeition.
Monday: 3pm to 4.30pm in the AVA room (to be confirmed)
TO ALL: DRINK PLENTY OF WATER AND REST WELL AFTER EACH REHEARSAL!!!
TUESDAY (SYF DAY): Meet outside the general office by 6.30am. In drama shirt. We won't be attending the flag raising ceremony. Will come back to school for lesson on 12 noon.
RESULTS: Will be announced to the whole school by Daniel and the next upcoming president on the starting on May. 2 weeks after the last SYF.
